After announcements of the Xiaomi 14 series and iQOO 12 series, the next flagship phones expected to arrive soon are reported to be the new Vivo X100 series phones.

But unlike last year, there is reportedly a change in the release of Vivo X100 series models. The company is said to be planning on releasing two models of the series first in China and later, most probably next year, the third member of the family will get its official release.

Regarding specifications and features of the phones, most of the key details of all these models have been leaked and some have been confirmed by the brand in the recent posts shared on both the official company’s website and Weibo account.
Vivo X100 Series Design
The design of both models of the X100 series that are scheduled for 2023 release has been revealed. The Vivo X100 and X100 Pro have been revealed to feature a massive circular camera module on the rear panel.
Unlike that of the previous generation Vivo X90 series, this one covers almost one-third of the rear panel and also it is positioned at the centre.
There is no word regarding the design of the camera housing of the Pro+ version of the Vivo X100 series, but we are more certain it will be the same circular camera module.
Vivo X100 Rumoured And Leaked Specs
Starting with the Vivo X100, which is obviously going to be the most affordable model of the trio, the rumours state that the handset will come packed with a 6.78″ OLED panel with a resolution of 1.5K which runs at 120Hz.
We have already seen the phones running on the latest Qualcomm’s premium mobile chipset, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with the release of the Vivo X100 phones, the world is going to see how much the new Dimensity 9300 has improved and even make comparisons with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 powered phones.
While all Xiaomi 14 and iQOO 12 models feature LPDDR5x memory, the Vivo X100 along with its siblings Vivo X100 Pro and X100 Pro+ are said to support LPDDR5T memory, which is currently the fastest type of DRAM.
With the inclusion of LPDDR5T RAM into these models of the Vivo X100 series, Vivo will become the first-ever company to launch LPDDR5T phones beating some of the bigger names such as Samsung and Xiaomi.
Just like the majority of non-Pro+ flagship Android phones, the Vivo X100 will still feature a triple rear camera system and a single front-facing camera.
The triple camera setup on the rear will comprise an OIS-ready 50MP wide camera (Sony IMX920 sensor, F/1.6 ), 50MP ultrawide camera( Samsung JN1 sensor, F/2.0 ), and 64MP periscope telephoto camera ( OmniVision OV64b sensor, F/2.6) with support for 3X optical zoom and optical image stabilization.
The selfie snapper will be a 32MP sensor.
Powering the device will be a new 5100mAh ultra-large battery. The handset is also rumoured to feature 120W fast charging. However, we expect this model to lack support for wireless and reverse wireless charging.
The Vivo X100 will come preloaded with Android 14-based OriginOS 4, which is the same software that powers the just-launched iQOO 12 and 12 Pro. WiFi 7 8.5mm 205g 12GB+256GB ¥3999 16GB+1TB
Vivo X100 Pro Rumoured And Leaked Specs
According to the latest rumours and leaks, the Vivo X100 Pro will be rocking a 6.78 QHD+ curved OLED LPTO display with support for up to 120Hz refresh rate(1~120Hz). Other display parameters that have been leaked include 3000nits peak brightness and HDR10+ support.

While the same processor(MediaTek Dimensity 9300) will be powering the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro models, based on Digital Chat Station and leaks, the Pro version will come with a more advanced self-developed imaging chipset known as Vivo V3.
On the optics front, the rear camera setup of the Vivo X100 Pro will include three 50MP cameras: 50MP wide main camera (Sony IMX989 sensor, 23mm, OIS, F/1.75) + 50MP Ultrawide camera (Samsung JNI sensor, F/2.0) + 50MP 4.3X Periscope telephoto camera(OIS, 100mm, F/2.5). The latest leaks also reveal that the rear camera system will support video recording at up to 8K resolution. The selfie shooter will be a 32MP sensor.
Speaking of battery specifications, the Vivo X100 Pro have been leaked to include a higher-capacity 5400mAh battery and feature support for faster wired and wireless charging. As per leaks, the handset supports up to 100 watts of rapid wired charging and also carries support for 50W wireless charging.
Also, it was officially revealed that Vivo X100 Pro will be available in four colourways namely, Star Trail Blue, Sunset Orange, White Moonlight, and Chenye Black.
Vivo X100 Pro+ Rumoured And Leaked Specs
Lastly, the Vivo X100 Pro+, which is the highest-end model of the lineup, is said to come with a 6.78-inch OLED screen which runs at 2K resolution. The panel is also rumoured to support a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate just like the Pro model.
Rumours are claiming that this will be the only model that will ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Unlike its siblings, the Vivo X100 Pro+ could launch with LPDDR5x RAM instead of LPDDR5T RAM.
Moving on to the cameras, which is obviously the selling point of these phones, the Vivo X100 Pro is rumoured to feature a higher resolution 200MP periscope telephoto camera which will support 10X optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. Based on several sources, this camera sensor is said to be a modified version of the Samsung HP3 sensor.
Rumours claim that that will be the only non-Sony camera sensor that will be used for the handset as for the rest of the rear cameras Vivo is said to use only Sony sensors: a 50MP wide-angle camera (Sony LYTIA LYT900 camera sensor), a 50MP ultrawide camera (Sony IMX598) and a 50MP telephoto camera (Sony IMX758).
Like its siblings, the Vivo X100 Pro+ is expected to come preloaded with OriginOS 4.0 which is based on Android 14.
Also, the IP68 rating is expected to be among the common features among the models of Vivo X100 models as all models are rumoured to come with this feature.
Additionally, we expect the Vivo X100 Pro+ to feature an Ultrasonic In-display fingerprint sensor for better security and reliability. Launch in Q1 2024 (likely)
Vivo X100 Series: When Are They Launching?
While the launch date for regular Vivo X100 and X100 Pro models in China is expected to be tomorrow( November 13th, 2023), the world will get to witness the Pro+ version next year(2024), most probably before the second quarter of 2024.
Additionally, the Vivo X100 series is expected to rival against Xiaomi 14 series and iQOO 12 series which both have already been announced in the Chinese market.
