
Vivo X100 And X100 Pro Debuts In China: Dimensity 9300 SoC, 120W Fast Charging, Up To 5400mAh Battery, LPDDR5T RAM And More
Today during the product launch event held in China, Vivo has just made an official announcement of its latest smartphones from the Vivo X100 series.

Unlike last year, this time around, the company has not launched all three models at once, instead, the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro are the only models that have been announced today in China. Most sources are claiming that their sibling, Vivo X100 Pro+, is expected to get an official release in the first quarter of 2024.
And just as other flagship phones (Xiaomi 14 and iQOO 12 series phones) released a couple of weeks ago, the new Vivo X100 series phones come with a lot of upgrades, mostly, in videography and performance departments.
Vivo X100 And 100 Pro: Price In China
Starting with prices, the base variant (12+256GB) of the Vivo X100 comes with a price tag of ¥3999 in China. The 16+256GB and 16+512GB versions are priced at ¥4299 and ¥4599, respectively. The top variant comes with a beefy 16GB of RAM and a whopping 1TB of storage, but it is also worth noting that it is available in two versions, LPDDR5x and LPDDR5T version which are priced at ¥4999 and ¥5099, respectively.

Regarding the Pro model, the pricing of the base variant of the X100 Pro is set at ¥4999. The mid-trim version with 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage costs around ¥5499 while the top variant with 16GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage comes in at ¥5999.
Vivo X100 Specifications And Features
The baseline Vivo X100 offers a massive LPTO 6.78″ curved OLED screen which runs at a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel has a 1.5K (2800×1260P) resolution, 2160Hz PWM dimming and a peak brightness of 3000nits.
Powering a device is a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The SoC is also paired with Immortalis-G720 GPU, The handset carries support for both the latest versions of DRAM, LPDDR5x (8.4Gbps) and LPDDR5T (9.6Gbps). The storage type used is UFS 4.0.

For optics, the Vivo X100 relies on the Samsung GD2 sensor with 32MP resolution for selfies and video chats. On the rear, you will find a trio of cameras that includes a 50MP wide camera (Sony IMX 920 sensor, OIS), a 50MP ultrawide camera (Samsung JN1 sensor) and a 64MP periscope telephoto camera (OmniVision OV64B sensor). The cameras are tuned by Zeiss and for better videography Vivo X100 comes packed with a self-developed V2 chipset.

Speaking of software, this machine ships with the latest version of Vivo’s OS which is based on Android 14: OriginOS 4.0.

Vivo X100 Pro Specifications And Features
The Vivo X100 Pro flaunts a 6.78″ 120Hz 1.5K (2800×1260P) OLED display with a curved design. Other display parameters include 8T LTPO, 2160Hz PWM dimming, 3000 nits of peak brightness, and 452PPI pixel density.

For performance, the Vivo X100 Pro relies on a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC paired with Immortalis-G720 GPU. It supports LPDDR5X, LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. For excellent videography, Vivo added an extra chipset known as V3, which is a successor to the V2 available in the standard Vivo X100 model.
Speaking of camera specification, the Vivo X100 Pro features a combination of three cameras on the back, an OIS-ready 50MP wide snapper (Sony IMX 989 sensor, OIS), a 50MP ultrawide camera (Samsung JN1 sensor) and 50MP periscope telephoto camera (OmniVision OV64B sensor). The front-facing camera is similar to Vivo X100’s: 32MP Samsung GD2 sensor.
The Vivo X100 pack a higher-capacity 5400mAh battery which supports up to 100W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Like the vanilla Vivo X100, this model also comes preloaded with Android 14-based OriginOS 4.0. It also comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.4, WiFi 7, USB-C (USB 3.2) and NFC.
Other specs and features are IR Control, Dual Stereo speakers Dolby Atmos, an independent HiFi chipset, and a 3 mic 6 channel radio system.
Vivo X100 And X100 Pro: Colour Choices And More Details

Both phones come in Chenye Black, Moonlight White, Star Trail Blue, and Sunset Orange (with leather back).
Additionally, Vivo X100 And X100 Pro are slated to go on sale in China starting November 21st, 2024.
