iPad 10th Generation Goes Official, Starts at $449
The California-based tech giant Apple launched its iPad 10th Generation yesterday. This is the company’s most affordable tablet. This tablet is expected to be available for public sale starting October 26th,2022.

iPad 10th Generation: Specifications and Features
The iPad 10th Generation, which is also known as iPad 2022, is the successor to the company’s 2021 entry-level tablet, the iPad 9th Generation. Compared to it, the new iPad comes with a massive display size: This slate is equipped with a 10.9-inch liquid retina display. The display offers a 2360-by-1640-pixel resolution and has a pixel density of 264 PPI. The display has been confirmed to support 1st generation Apple pencil, and also it has a peak brightness level of 500nits.
The iPad 2022 is offered in four colour choices, Silver, Blue, Yellow and Pink. Also, the tablet comes in two configurations: WiFi and WiFi+Cellular.The WiFi+Cellular model is a tad heavier than the WiFi-only version: According to the company’s website, the WiFi+Cellular model weighs 1.06 pounds (481 grams) while the WiFi model has a weight of 1.05 pounds (477 grams). But both models are 7mm thin.
Under the hood, the slate features a 6-core CPU A14 Bionic chipset which is backed up with 4-core graphics and 16-core Neural Engine. The tablet sports 64GB or 256GB of internal storage. The handset comes preloaded with iPadOS 16 out of the box.
In the camera department, the iPad 10th Gen. uses a 12mp wide lens for rear video shooting and photo taking. The 12mp wide camera at the back has been confirmed to be able to record up to 4K video recording at 24 fps, 25 fps, 30 fps, or 60 fps. On the other hand, the selfie snapper is a 12mp ultrawide sensor with a 122° field of view which is capable of shooting up to 1080p videos at 25 fps, 30 fps, or 60 fps.
The iPad 10th Gen. comes with a built‐in 28.6‐watt-hour rechargeable lithium‑polymer battery which promises up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi‐Fi or up to 9 hours using the cellular data network.
In terms of connectivity, both models of the tablet support WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 technology.
According to the company’s website, the iPad 10th Gen. is equipped with landscape stereo speakers and dual microphones for calls, video recording, and audio recording.
The handset includes several sensors such as Touch ID, a Three‐axis gyro, Accelerometer, Barometer, and an Ambient light sensor.
iPad 10th Generation: Pricing
The WiFi iPad 2022 comes in two versions, 64GB and 256GB, which are priced at $449 and $599, respectively. On the other hand, the WiFi+Cellular model with 64GB comes in at $599, while the top variant with 128GB costs $749.
According to Apple, the iPad 2022’s box only contains three items, the tablet itself, USB-C Charge Cable (1 meter) and a 20W USB-C Power Adapter.
